Children & Youth

441 Ministries

441 Parsells Avenue

441 is an outreach effort in the Beechwood neighborhood of Rochester striving to “re-neighbor” a broken community through the power of the Gospel.

Opportunities: Saturday kids club, summer meals program, Bible study.

Youth for Christ

One Favor Street

YFC focuses on bringing urban youth to a living faith in Jesus through relationships, life coaching, mentoring, and leadership development.

Opportunities: Basketball coach, mentor, tutor, clothing store worker, café worker.

Rochester Family Mission

388 Tremont Street, Rochester, NY

Rochester Family Mission is called to help families in the southwest city neighborhoods of Rochester by meeting both spiritual and material need.

Opportunities: After-school tutoring, adult GED tutoring, food cupboard, handyman, office work, meal prep and more.

Pedal for Life

Working with three city recreation centers, this Browncroft team builds relationships with city kids through bike outings and social events to encourage fitness, bike awareness/safety, healthy eating, and fun.

Opportunities: Saturday bike rides and picnics throughout the months of July and August, and other occasional gatherings through the rest of the year.

Young Life

Young Life is a world-class ministry for adolescents. Our staff and volunteers enter the world of kids, focusing on what matters to them — fun, adventure, friendship and a sense of significance. In doing so, we earn the privilege of talking to them about something that we think matters most of all — the truth about Jesus Christ.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes

Fellowship of Christian Athletes exists in Greater Rochester to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. We accomplish this by engaging coaches and athletes through camps, leagues, and other sport settings, leading to equip them in huddles (small group bible studies) and empowering them to be disciple makers on their team and school.

Camp Hickory Hill

Camp Hickory Hill exists to glorify God by helping people grow closer to Him and to each other through camp, retreat, and conference experiences. Serving Christ since 1955, we offer a variety of events and activities designed to help people build and strengthen their relationships with God and with each other.

CompassCare operates a professional medical office with staff dedicated to serving women facing unplanned pregnancies by transforming their fear into confidence.

Opportunities: Mentoring expectant mothers, helpline, prayer team, marketing, research & development, office tasks, IT support.

Open Door Mission, Inc.

156 N. Plymouth Ave.

Open Door was founded in prayer to meet the spiritual and physical needs of “the last, the least, and the lost” of our community.

Opportunities: Worship leader, service projects, kitchen service and more.

Flower City Outreach

"Mobilizing the Church into service so that the city might see Jesus!"

Opportunities: Flower City Work Camp, Youth Conference, Weekend Edition, School-Church Partnerships, Youth Mentoring, and CarePortal.

Navigators 20s

The Navigators 20s ministry disciples young adults who are committed to growing in four pursuits: faith, vocation, mission, and community.

World Relief Western NY

Show God’s love for all people by helping recently arrived refugees to adjust to their new life in America.

Opportunities: Volunteer, advocate, give towards refugees entering Rochester.

Good News Jail & Prison Ministry

Minister to those at the Monroe County Jail, downtown and Henrietta locations.

Opportunities: Bible teacher, worship leader, prayer leader, church service volunteer, lesson grader.

Guitars for glory

Guitars for Glory raises funds to purchase new guitars to be given to recipients who have a deep need to inspire and create authentic music to bring glory to our God.
