Peter Englert, Adult Ministries Director:
So often when we talk about spiritual formation, it seems to illicit a desire to read our Bible, pray, serve, and practice other spiritual disciplines. If we’re honest, many of us are still trying to connect the dots of how Jesus and these practices meet us in our homes, jobs, relationships, families, neighborhoods, and the other facets of life.
Our Spiritual Formation Conference will focus on “An Invitation to Wholeness – Applying the Way of Jesus to Everyday Life”. When we talk about “wholeness”, we are referring to how Jesus invites us to experience life in our bodies, minds, and souls. The gospel gives a clear invitation to experience life-change in Jesus in every area of our lives.
Our keynote is speaker for the day will be Dr. Rebecca Letterman, who is a coach, consultant, professor, and author. She wrote the book Being Like Jesus as a Body. Following the keynote session, you will be able to pick through a wide array and variety of workshops dealing with topics such as emotional wholeness, sexual wholeness, relational wholeness, and so much more.
The gospel gives a clear invitation to experience life-change in Jesus in every facet of our lives.

Stephanie Meunier, Kids Director:
Hey, Browncroft Kids! Family Ministry is so excited to join the Spiritual Formation Conference team by offering a Kids experience focused on worry. We will talk about how God meets in our worry to give us wholeness. Why should we work on worry? Well, it is important to learn how to manage our emotions. Managing worry is not about ignoring our emotions or making them go away – it’s more about having a plan of what to do with those emotions, even before they show up. Learning to manage your worry is like having a superpower! I hope you guys will join us as we learn what God says about worry and what tools we can use to work through it.
Parents, there will be a main session and two breakout sessions for your kids, and then you are invited to join us for a family session before lunch. The breakout sessions will be hosted by our Kids Coordinator, Alex Welker, and Robyn Englert, LCSW-R. I am excited to host the main session as we start the morning off, as well as the family session where we will end our morning with some discussion questions.
