For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. (Colossians 1:9-12)

The very heart of our mission is life-change in Jesus. Everything we do as a church is designed to advance this goal — first in ourselves and then in the lives of those around us who do not yet know Jesus.

The future growth of our ministry will follow the near future growth of our faith. Take time today to ask God to fill our leadership and our congregation with a greater knowledge of His will for our church. Pray for the wisdom and understanding of the Spirit that we might know and then follow the very path He has outlined for us in the next many years.

The very heart of our mission is life-change in Jesus. Everything we do as a church is designed to advance this goal.

Let’s take a moment to pray:

  • That the Spirit of God would impart wisdom to our leaders about the future of our church.
  • That a deeper discipleship of the congregation would produce a greater witness in our community.
  • That God would raise up visionary leaders for more effective ministry to our body and community.
  • That the Lord would add many more new believers to our fellowship in the next few years.

Holy Spirit lead us into a deeper faith that will bear fruit in more life-change in our church and community this coming year.
