All In Prayer – Worship

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.  ( Lamentations 3:22-23)

Experiencing the compassionate love of God and letting it orient our lives is foundational to how we worship. The prophet Jeremiah wrote these verses in the middle of a Jewish exile that lasted generations. And yet, without a permanent home or even a secure place to worship, he was able to experience the compassionate love of God – one that is fresh and new every morning.

Even in the midst of hardship, Jeremiah saw and remembered the provision of God’s faithfulness. He clung to the promise of His unfailing love.

As we remember God’s faithfulness to our church over the past 100 years, let us also remember that His unfailing love for us, His people, is “new every morning.” And then let’s worship God not only for His faithfulness in our own lives, but also to our church over generations past and generations to come. 

Experiencing the compassionate love of God and letting it orient our lives is foundational to how we worship.

Let’s take a moment to pray for the following areas:  

  • That you would see and remember God’s provision and faithfulness in your life.
  • That the love, mercy, and life offered to you through Christ would orient and be reflected in your worship — personally and corporately. 
  • That we as a church would remember and celebrate God’s faithfulness to Browncroft for the past 100 years. 
  • That God would reach and renew us — the current and next generations of Browncrofters — by His Spirit. 

Lord, Thank you for Your continuing provision and faithfulness in my life and in our church. Let my heart and my worship reflect Your great love, compassion, and faithfulness that I’ve received.

Christmas Is for Everyone

What I love most about Christmas music is its unerring ability to put me in the true Christmas spirit. When I listen to it, particularly the biblical songs, I’m able to just be in the moment and stop stressing about everything that needs to be done by December 24th. That’s why I’m so excited that this Sunday we are having a special Scripture and Carols service to commemorate the season.

Whether it be in your home or neighborhood, or by participating in the meaningful events and services on campus, our prayer is that you’d express and experience the hospitality and generosity of Christ throughout this season.
